4. Artificial Intelligence and Automated Processing
InsiQuest may use artificial intelligence and automated processing behind the scenes to help collect, organize, classify, summarize, normalize, or present local information.
For example, automated systems may help:
- Summarize public notices or announcements;
- Classify local information by category;
- Identify locations mentioned in public information;
- Organize event information;
- Identify potentially relevant local information;
- Assist organizations in creating forms or content.
Information submitted to an AI-enabled feature may be sent to a third-party artificial-intelligence service provider for processing when necessary to provide that feature.
Users and organizations should not intentionally submit passwords, complete payment credentials, government identification numbers, protected health information, or other highly sensitive information into AI-generation fields unless the feature expressly supports and is intended for that information.
Automated summaries and classifications are provided for convenience and may contain errors. Important information should be confirmed through the original or authoritative source when appropriate.
5. Local Information and Third-Party Sources
LocalWatch may display or summarize information obtained from government agencies, public records, public websites, community organizations, transportation systems, weather services, event publishers, and other third-party sources.
We may store information necessary to identify the source, detect updates, avoid duplicate items, categorize information, and present useful local summaries.
LocalWatch does not control the privacy or data practices of external sources. When you leave LocalWatch to visit a third-party website, that site's terms and privacy practices apply.
6. Participating Organizations and Resident Privacy
InsiQuest provides organizations with technology that allows them to publish programs, resources, events, opportunities, and forms and to manage engagement with residents.
A participating organization may determine:
- What information it publishes;
- What programs, services, or opportunities it offers;
- What questions it includes in a form;
- Whether particular information is required;
- Why information is collected;
- How the organization uses information it receives;
- Which authorized staff members may access organization records.
Questions about a particular organization's program, eligibility requirements, form, event, service, or use of resident information should generally be directed to that organization.
InsiQuest may assist with requests involving information stored on the platform, but we may need to coordinate with or refer the request to the applicable organization.

- Remember preferences;
- Support LocalWatch application functionality;
- Support notification registration;

Browser settings may allow users to block or delete cookies. Blocking essential cookies may prevent login or interfere with LocalWatch functionality.
9. How We Share Information
InsiQuest does not sell personal information.
We may share information with participating organizations when a resident intentionally interacts with that organization through a registration, form, event check-in, program, opportunity, or similar feature.
For example, if you register for a program offered by an organization, the organization may receive information necessary to manage that registration and its relationship with you.
We may also share limited information with service providers that help us operate LocalWatch, including providers of:
- Cloud hosting and data storage;
- Artificial-intelligence processing;
- Geocoding or location-processing services;
- Email delivery;
- SMS delivery;
- Push notifications;

These providers receive information only as reasonably necessary to perform services for InsiQuest or provide a requested feature.
We may also disclose information:
- When required by law, subpoena, court order, or legal process;
- To investigate fraud, abuse, or security threats;
- To protect the rights, safety, or property of users or others;
- To enforce our Terms of Use;
- In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of business assets;
- With consent or at the direction of the affected user.
10. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, misuse, or loss.
Security measures may include authenticated access, phone verification, encryption in transit, access controls, managed infrastructure, monitoring, backups, and security review practices.
No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Users are responsible for protecting access to their devices, email accounts, mobile phones, and LocalWatch accounts.
11. Data Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide LocalWatch, maintain accounts, support participating organizations, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, enforce agreements, and protect platform security.
Retention periods may vary based on the type of information and the reason it is retained.
Resident registrations, form responses, event interactions, and organization participant records may remain available to the applicable organization while reasonably necessary for the organization's program or relationship with the resident.
Deleted information may remain temporarily in backups, logs, security records, or systems where immediate deletion is not reasonably possible or where retention is legally required.
12. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights concerning personal information, which may include the right to:
- Request access to personal information;
- Correct inaccurate information;
- Request deletion of information;
- Request a portable copy of certain information;
- Object to or restrict certain processing;
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
- Submit a complaint to an appropriate privacy authority.
We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request.
When a request concerns information collected for a participating organization, that organization may also be responsible for responding to the request. InsiQuest may refer the request to the organization or assist the organization in responding.
Residents may manage certain LocalWatch preferences, including saved places and available notification settings, through their LocalWatch account.
13. Account and Data Deletion
LocalWatch account holders may initiate account deletion through account settings where that option is available.
Users may also visit:
Account-deletion assistance may be requested by emailing:
The request should identify the account to be deleted. We may require reasonable verification before processing the request.
Deleting a resident account may delete or make inaccessible:
- Resident account information;
- Saved places and alert preferences;
- Notification-device registrations;
- Certain LocalWatch account activity;
- Certain registrations or engagement records associated directly with the account.
Information previously submitted to a participating organization may also be part of that organization's records. Depending on applicable law and the circumstances, deleting a LocalWatch account may not automatically require an organization to delete records it is independently permitted or required to retain.
Certain information may also be retained where reasonably necessary for legal compliance, fraud prevention, security, dispute resolution, or legitimate business recordkeeping.
14. Children’s Privacy
LocalWatch is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly permit children under 13 to create independent LocalWatch accounts without appropriate authorization.
Participating organizations are responsible for ensuring that their collection and use of information involving minors complies with applicable law, including obtaining parental or guardian consent where required.
If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information through LocalWatch without appropriate authorization, contact us so that we can review the matter and take appropriate action.
15. Public Safety, Emergency, and Local Alert Information
LocalWatch may display public safety, weather, traffic, infrastructure, government, or emergency-related information obtained from public or third-party sources.
LocalWatch is an informational service and is not an emergency communications system, emergency dispatch service, law-enforcement agency, weather authority, or replacement for official government alerts.
Notifications may be delayed, unavailable, incomplete, or affected by device settings, internet connectivity, third-party systems, source availability, or other technical conditions.
In an emergency, users should rely on 911 and appropriate official emergency authorities rather than relying solely on LocalWatch.
16. International Use and Data Processing
InsiQuest LocalWatch is operated from the United States. Information may be stored or processed in the United States or other locations where InsiQuest or its service providers maintain infrastructure.
Data-protection laws in those locations may differ from laws in a user's jurisdiction.
Participating organizations are responsible for determining whether their use of LocalWatch requires additional notices, agreements, safeguards, or consent under laws applicable to their activities.
17. Third-Party Links and Services
LocalWatch may contain links to government agencies, organizations, event pages, application pages, community resources, maps, websites, and other third-party services.
InsiQuest is not responsible for the privacy, security, accuracy, content, availability, or practices of third parties outside LocalWatch.
Users should review the privacy policies and terms of third-party services before providing information to them.
18. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to LocalWatch, the Organization Portal, legal requirements, security practices, service providers, or data practices.
The updated policy will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Where appropriate or legally required, we may provide additional notice through LocalWatch, the Organization Portal, push notification, SMS, or email.
Continued use of InsiQuest LocalWatch after an updated policy becomes effective constitutes acknowledgment of the revised policy to the extent permitted by applicable law.
